Chumba PotC

These are a few sketches for my PotC character Chumba the Walrein.

- NAME: Chumba Wumba
- NICKNAME: Chum
- AGE: 42
- BIRTHDATE: April 17th 1658
- GENDER: Male
- HEIGHT: 8 feet
- WEIGHT: 489 lbs
- EYE COLOR: Teal
- MISC. FEATURES: Broken left tusk, A tattoo on his left shoulder of a Heart and arrow that says “MUM”, a wooden peg leg.

- HISTORY: Chumba is an enormous Walrein that was born in a small island town in the middle of the ocean around Hoenn. He owes his great stature to his wailord grandfather and his love of rum to his mother who was a master rum cake baker. Well that and the big bugger just likes to drink. Growing up on the sea he quickly decided he wanted to be a pirate when he grew up and ended up running away from home to be a cabin boy on a pirate ship. As he grew, and grew, and grew he became the ships cook. His food was mostly terrible simply because at sea you cooked what you had, and sometimes that wasn’t much. But one thing he could cook to an amazing result was rum cake… 487 different flavors of rum cake to be exact. One night however the ship he was a part of got destroying in a nasty squall. He managed to survive because of his big blubbery bulk and its innate ability to float. He washed up on a beach and ever since he has been looking for another crew to join and another galley to fill with rum cake.
His teeth are yellow and atrocious after decades of terrible dental hygiene and of course millions of gallons of rum. He is hairy and grisly having a huge beard he ties off into segments using teal colored beads. Chumba hates bathing and because of this his odor is rather pungent and his shirt which looks 3 sizes to small is covered in stains of varying kinds. His tusk got broken off in a fight with another pirate when he was in his twenties and he lost his leg in his early thirties. There is now a wooden peg leg on his amputated nub that can be removed to reveal a cavity big enough for a rum bottle… he calls it his secret stash.
He also has an extreme dislike and fear of milk and other dairy products. The blubbery walrus thinks they are poisonous because everytime he consumes them he gets outrageous stomach pains and has the most horrendous smelling gas one can’t begin to imagine. Unbeknownst to him, his is actually just lactose intolerant… but his uneducated mind has no idea what that means.
- CLOTHING OF CHOICE: Chumba chooses to wear the same grungy stained white tank top that seems 3 sizes too small. His big belly always hangs out over the belt of his red and brown striped pans with cut off at the knees. He only has one shoe because his other leg from the upper shin down is a peg leg. But this one shoe has a hole in the big toe… causing his big toe to poke out constantly. His hat is a cooking pot and serves as both a hat and a helmet.
- ACCESSORIES: His weapon of choice is a giant cast iron frying pan that’s about 3.5 feet in diameter. He’s surprisingly adept at using it as a weapon and a shield. He has teal colored beads which he uses to tie off his beard into different segments as well as his mustache.
